Shared Drive Files Issue

Guys can anyone help me regarding this issue..
I cant download or open and play any file previously stored in my shared drive and theres like 4 tb collection unaccessible what do i do im freaking out...! 😤

Shared USB storage devices do not keep their permissions  after disconnect, reboot and then reconnect in Windows Vista Ultimate SP1.  Does anyone have a fix for this issue or suggestions. Thank you
